The prime concern of the corporate organisations is to maximize long-term wellness in terms of health and finance for sustainable success. Employee health and performance are closely linked to each other. Good workers’ health leads to productivity; productivity leads to business competitiveness; business competitiveness leads to economic development and prosperity which in turn leads to social well-being and wealth; social well-being and wealth again helps maintain good employee health (Burton, 2010). Corporate Yoga (CY) is an attempt to bring ancient yogic philosophy & practices at workplace for health/wellness promotion, disease prevention, healing/therapy, self-motivation, team building, optimal- leadership, creativity and innovation; leading to maximum work performance and sustainable organisation success. Corporate yoga training (CYT) is a sort of yogic capsule that is comprised of yogic practices from all major yogic streams (Jnana, Bhakti, Karma and Raj) and designed as per workplace problems met at individual and organisational level. The constituents of CYT may vary as per work nature, disposition, body constitution, age, sex and health condition of participants at workplace. CYT presumes nine hurdles (physical or mental illness, dullness, doubt, procrastination, laziness, over indulgence, delusion, inability and instability) behind individual and corporate failure and basically targets their dissolution (Pandya, 2006, p. 118) via its prolonged conduct at workplace. Dissolution of these hurdles via long term yoga practice leads to complete harmony (homogeneity among feeling, thinking and doing); harmony leads to talent, talent results in creativity and innovation, creativity leads to perfection as an antecedent of work excellence. Yoga may be an integral part of work-site health promotion program (WHPP) coined as “an organised program in the work-site that is intended to assist employees and their family members (and/or retirees) in making voluntary behavior changes which reduce their health and injury risks, improve their health & consumer skills and enhance their individual productivity and well-being whereas wellness is an intentional choice of lifestyle characterised by personal responsibility, moderation, and maximum personal enhancement of physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health”. Wellness programs typically begin by focusing on the reduction of health risks and then target issues that affect personal productivity, general well-being, quality of work-life, personal growth and other areas of interest” (Hunnicutt & Chapman, 2006, p. 4).
